Analysis of the Scientific Productions of the Biannual Journal of Grammatical and Rhetorical Studies and Mapping the Scientific Landscape

Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze the scientific outputs of the biannual journal Research on Grammar and Rhetoric through co-authorship and co-word analysis methods. To achieve this goal, relevant articles were collected using the ISC database, and the data were analyzed in a network format using Excel and the bibliometrix software. This analysis examined the relationships among authors and the keywords of the articles to identify the journal's scientific structure and key topics. The results revealed that the most frequently used keywords in the articles included rhetoric, Shahnameh, contemporary poetry, and ghazal. The co-authorship analysis indicated that most articles were co-authored by two writers, with Qom University publishing the highest number of articles in this journal. Furthermore, the co-word analysis showed a shift in research trends over time, from topics such as Shahnameh to topics like Hafez, contemporary poetry, and rhetoric. These findings suggest that employing co-authorship and co-word methods can provide a better understanding of the journal's scientific structure and core topics, as well as more accurately reflect changes in research trends.
